This compendium describes many (~150) card games, always explaining the rules and occasionally delving into strategy. There are a few solitaire games; the majority are for multiple players. There are a few games I’ve played that didn’t make their list, but it’s a good for an overview of many classic games. (Reviewed Jan., ’04)
